Bruce Engelsma, President; CEO and Chairman, Kraus-Anderson Companies Bruce continues Lloyd Engelsma's visionary leadership as the second generation chairman of the Kraus-Anderson family of companies. He is actively involved with the day to day management and administration of KA’s varied activities, including construction, insurance, mortgage banking, accounting, budgeting and project finance, real estate development, capital leasing and resort properties management. He also maintains Lloyd’s and KA’s tradition of community service, through leadership roles with the boards of Associated General Contractors of Minnesota, Dunwoody Institute, Park Nicollet Health Services, Metropolitan Economic Development Association (MEDA), Capital City Partnership and Gustavus College; as well as the Hearts & Hammers Twin Cities Advisory Council; Minneapolis Downtown Council and Mount Olivet Lutheran Church Council. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Minnesota.

Daniel Engelsma, Vice Chairman, Kraus-Anderson Companies Dan serves as president of Kraus-Anderson Realty Company and vice chairman of Kraus-Anderson Companies. He and his brother Bruce are the second generation of the Engelsma family to lead Kraus-Anderson. Dan joined the company in 1969. Since then he and Kraus-Anderson have developed several million square feet of office, retail and industrial property, along with 3,000 units of housing. He oversees the management of more than four million square feet of commercial real estate in five states, and directs a staff of real estate professionals in all aspects of real estate development, leasing and management. His professional affiliations include Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA); Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM); Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA); International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR).

Philip Boelter, Executive Vice President/COO, Kraus-Anderson Companies Phil takes an active role in all aspects of Kraus-Anderson’s diverse business activities, including construction, real estate, insurance and capital leasing. Prior to joining the company in 2002, he served Kraus-Anderson for over 30 years as legal counsel with the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney, LLP. His depth of experience in real property law provides rich insight and guidance in the acquisition, construction, leasing, financing and sale of commercial properties throughout the United States. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and Juris Doctor from University of Iowa Law School. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in America and Law and Leading Attorneys; and has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations.

Alan Gerhardt, Chief Operating Officer Al has primary responsibility for the overall operation and performance of Kraus-Anderson’s seven construction offices located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Arizona. Under his leadership, Kraus-Anderson has been consistently ranked in the top 50 Construction Management at Risk by Engineering News-Record. Al joined Kraus-Anderson in 1980 as a project manager and has been directly involved in the growth of Kraus-Anderson's construction activity in the fields of healthcare, bioscience and sustainability.
He is a LEED Green Associate, past member of State of Minnesota Building Code Advisory Board, Construction Specification Institute, Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club; past chair of the Minnesota State University-Mankato Construction Management Advisory Board and is current member of NAIOP and past presenter at their national conference. He serves on the boards of the Minneapolis Downtown Council, ACE Mentor Program, and Cornerhouse, a non-profit child advocacy organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Minnesota State University-Mankato; and holds General Contractor licenses in Minnesota, Florida, Mississippi and New Mexico.

Mark Coudron, Senior Vice President Mark leads the activities of the Minneapolis office. A veteran of Kraus-Anderson since 1978, he has directed major construction including healthcare, high-tech, bioscience and hospitality projects. His extensive project experience provides rapid, broad, adept analyses of team structure, project scopes, budget and constructibility.
He is a member of the Minnesota Concrete Council, a Management Trustee for the Minnesota Laborer’s Health & Welfare and Pension funds. He has a degree in Construction Management & Estimating from Southwestern Technical College; and holds a Healthcare Construction Certificate.

Rich Jacobson, Senior Vice President Rich leads Kraus-Anderson’s Minnesota offices in Circle Pines, Bemidji, Duluth; and regional offices in Madison, Wisconsin; Minot, North Dakota and Rochester, Minnesota. He joined Kraus-Anderson as a project manager in 1992 and has managed major construction including schools, healthcare, retail, hospitality, recreational, industrial and residential projects. He is a skilled consensus builder, guiding forward momentum among school boards and diverse stakeholders; and works seamlessly with all levels of government, keeping approvals, codes and adjustments running smoothly.
Rich serves on the boards of the Minnesota School Boards Association, Woodbury Public Safety, Minnesota Construction Association, and Stout Industry Advisory Board. He’s also a member of the International Council of Educational Facility Planners, International Council of Shopping Centers, and Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI), a nationally active organization of educational professionals. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from University of Wisconsin-Stout.

John Rogoz, Vice President of Finance/Controller
John is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the construction company. He joined KA in 2012 and previously served as financial manager based in Kansas City for Turner Construction. John earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Louis University and his M.S. in Taxation from Fontbonne College. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). He currently serves as vice chairman of the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals. Rogoz is also a past president of the Kansas City Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.
