Kraus-Anderson’s sustainable building practices support creating a healthy and positive learning environment for students and faculty. Thinking green also means utilizing existing resources effectively and incorporating energy efficiency to reduce operating costs. Kraus-Anderson led the charge in green schools, constructing Minnesota’s first LEED-certified project in 2004 with Westwood Elementary.

Kraus-Anderson has completed more than 200 K-12 education projects totaling $700 million in the past five years.
