Thief River Falls Joint Operations Facility

Thief River Falls, MN

The Thief River Falls Operations Center combines four department's regional facility needs into one Joint Operations and Maintenance Center. MnDOT, DNR, State Highway Patrol, and Pennington County share headquarters, vehicular maintenance, and storage all under one roof. The addition to the existing County shop more than quadruples the existing structure from 13,260 s.f. to 63,371 s.f. The building features a shared commons space that houses conference rooms, staging, storage, lockers and support space for all users, as well as a shared building entrance and image through a landscaped courtyard. The building is the first in Minnesota to be fully details under the State's sustainable guidelines.
