Kraus-Anderson Hires Jeff Kemp as Mechanical and Electrical Systems Manager

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.  – Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA), one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest commercial general contractors and construction managers, has named Jeff Kemp as mechanical and electrical systems manager. He will work closely with KA’s directors of operations and project managers throughout the company to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems management and coordination to support early analysis, preconstruction and construction phases of selected projects.

Kemp brings over 25 years of project management and mechanical engineering experience to KA, including commissioning, retro-commissioning, design-build project management and energy conservation project development for government and private sectors. Prior to joining KA, Kemp was a vice president for National Commissioning Services/Corval Group in St. Paul. He also spent 17 years as a design-build project manager with the Opus Group of Companies. He has worked on substantial projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mayo Clinic, University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota.

Kemp earned his MBA from the University of St. Thomas School of Business and holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) and received his LEED accredited professional (AP) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
