Center City Housing to break ground Dec. 12 in Bemidji
The Bemidji office of Kraus-Anderson will build Center City Housing. This new 60-unit apartment complex will be located at 600 Third Street NW in Bemidji. The multi-family development will provide affordable housing for those in need.
The Development
The $7.5 million building is being developed by Center City Housing Corp. (CCHC), a statewide leader and innovator of affordable supportive housing and a regional provider of affordable rental housing. CCHC develops, owns and manages quality housing opportunities and provides associated services for those most in need.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the site at 11:30 am, Monday, December 12, 2016.
The Design
Designed by LHB Architects, Center City Housing will include 40 units dedicated to single room occupancy for chronic alcoholics. Additionally, it will include 20 efficiency apartment units for recently homeless.
Construction is expected to be completed by the November of 2017.
