Expansion of Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors connects hospital, medical clinic and pharmacy, creating one campus
TWO HARBORS, Minn. (September 2020) – The Duluth office of Kraus-Anderson Construction has completed an expansion of Lake View Hospital in Two Harbors, Minn. The $15 million project, which will improve efficiency and enhance patient experience, connects the hospital to Lake View Medical Clinic and Lake View Pharmacy.
Designed by BWBR Architects, the 38,000-square-foot project features a new specialty care outreach space, integrated lab services and an expanded inpatient pharmacy to support infusion therapy services, including chemotherapy and IV treatments. The improvements create a centralized entrance for the clinic and hospital, add more room for future urgent care and expand the surgical and procedural care space.
Also added is a new community gathering space with room for up to 90 people. The space can be used for community health education, wellness activities related to population, health meetings for area organizations, leadership development, yoga classes and more.
