Kraus-Anderson continues improvements to Roseville Area Schools
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (November 2019) – Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA) will begin extensive remodeling and additions at several new projects for Roseville Area Schools. The construction of Roseville Area Middle School, Parkview Center School, Emmet D, Williams Elementary, Falcon Heights Elementary and Harambee Elementary is part of Roseville Area Schools’ long-range facilities plan funded by a $144 million bond referendum. The projects are designed by LSE Architects.
Roseville Area Middle School – 15 County Road B-2 East, Little Canada
The $16.6 million project features renovating the science labs, art labs, and industrial technology and Pre-CTE areas; and creating a project-based flex classroom and lab area, digital studio and a new secure vestibule. A new gymnasium will be added for community use, as well as a scene shop to create additional stage time availability at the auditorium. Outside, the project includes the renovation of track and field for student and community use and repairing the paving.
Parkview Center School – 701 County Road B West, Roseville
The $8.1 million project features renovating the science labs, art labs, media center, computer labs, dedicated Friendship Connection room, and a new secure vestibule and office modifications. The existing office will be converted to new classroom spaces. Outside, the project includes removing the deteriorated tennis courts, and adding a new basketball court.
Emmet D, Williams Elementary – 955 W. County Rd. D, Shoreview
The $4.6 million project features renovating the media center, and adding new classrooms, gymnasium and dedicated Friendship Connection room. Outside, the project includes upgrading the softball fields and repairing the paving.
Falcon Heights Elementary – 1393 Garden Avenue West, Falcon Heights
The $1.4 million project features renovating the art room and media center including the computer lab; and adding new classrooms and dedicated Friendship Connection room.
Harambee Elementary – 30 County Rd B East, Maplewood, MN
The $5.2 million project features the addition of Early Childhood, a new center-based program located on the east side of the school district. The project also includes renovating the media center including the computer lab; and adding new classrooms and dedicated Friendship Connection room.
All of the schools will renovate their Special Education areas, upgrade the heating, ventilation and air conditioning in all classrooms and teaching spaces; and repair or replace the roofs.
