A Flyover View of Cambia Hills of East Bethel PRTF |Kraus-Anderson
This bird’s eye view drone footage taken May 1 over the Cambia Hills of East Bethel job site provides an exciting overview of progress, and the construction collaboration at work. KA Project Superintendent Tim Davidson recently provided a narrative on the progress.
Q. How many crew were on site at the time of this drone video? And how many trades do we see represented?
A. TIM DAVIDSON, PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT: At the time of the video we had 34 crew onsite, with iron works, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, utility and excavating crews also.
Q. What is some of the equipment seen on the site?
A. TIM DAVIDSON: We had one crane and several workers in lifts. We also have multiple forklifts, dozers, excavators and skid steers.
Q. What is the pace of the work that’s being done?
A. TIM DAVIDSON: We are erecting a wing every three weeks with exterior framing and sheeting following behind. We have been on site since the 20th of January, a little over three months.
Q. The footage also shows the demo of an existing house that was on the site. Was the house put to use over the winter?
A. TIM DAVIDSON. We demoed the house as part of the project and it was not usable for any other purpose. But we did use it a little for some storage through the winter.
Q. Other fun facts you’d like to share?
A. TIM DAVIDSON: Notable facts…. this is an extremely dry site, containing more than 20 feet depth of sand. We had to water sand to firm it up even before frost was totally out. All the lifts are fully tracked to maneuver on site. The fact we had subcontractors with modern technology in their equipment and out in the field is a GREAT attribute to the fast progress to date. Without it we would not be this far along.
Q. What comes next?
A. TIM DAVIDSON: Looking forward to seeing interior framing and exterior finishes soon. The parking lot starting mid -May.
