Carol Sende is the winner of the Kraus-Anderson Construction Company Mission/Vision Award for September 2014.
Carol is a project superintendent working out of the Minneapolis office. She was nominated for her work on the HealthPartners Woodbury Clinic project by Edie Sandahl, clinic manager II with HealthPartners. Edie’s nomination reads:
“I am pleased to nominate Carol Sende, KA project superintendent, for a Mission/Vision award. For the past 12 months, Carol has been on our site as project superintendent for our 11,000 s.f. expansion and remodeling at HealthPartners Woodbury clinic. This was quite a big project for us, involving multiple phases, an addition, remodeling of the existing building and a redo of our parking lot.
“I have worked on other construction projects before and what’s great about Carol is, she was really conscious of our needs. She always had the parking lots very clean, all trash was covered. Construction noise was minimal. She thought about patient and customer safety and made sure we put up walls where we needed to, orange barrels, signage and extra fencing. She was always one step ahead of us. It was nice to know that I could depend on her. Anything I brought to her attention, she was on it so fast, we really worked well together.
“She developed a great rapport with our entire staff. They all say, ‘Carol, we’re gonna miss you! You were fabulous!’ She was instrumental to making this a better experience for us and we all appreciate her efforts.”
