Jeff Moore is the winner of the Kraus-Anderson Mission Vision Safety Award. Jeff is a superintendent working out of the KA Circle Pines office and was nominated by Safety Director Jay Vander Leest and KA Circle Pines General Superintendent Jim Bergren. Jay and Jim’s nomination reads:
“Jeff shows great safety leadership on the job site. He takes a proactive approach that has proved highly successful on his jobs.
Currently Jeff is working with Flint Hills Refinery, a client with numerous safety considerations.
Jeff thinks prior to performing a task to evaluate potential hazards and to plan ahead. He looks at all the details and is thorough in following through on plans.
He understands the rules and is willing to learn and lead his KA employees and subcontractor crews in maintaining a positive safe environment. He coordinates new employee orientations for all new hires entering the site.
He is willing to educate employees on the proper ways of performing certain tasks; and provides regular toolbox talks. He is prepared to discipline employees when needed.
Jeff continually evaluates his jobsite for safety shortcomings, and takes immediate corrective action.
He works with client safety staff and responds promptly to any recommendations they may have.
Jeff is an experienced superintendent who is willing and open to change. He embraces new safety requirements as our program evolves.
Jeff ‘s detailed, planning approach demonstrates that a project can be safe and productive at the same time.”
