Jerry Stai is the winner of the KA Construction Company Safety Mission/Vision Award for April 2015.
Jerry is a project superintendent out of the Minneapolis office. He was nominated by Don Nast, site safety coordinator in the Minneapolis office. Both Jerry and Don work at the Building 280 project. Don writes:
“Jerry Stai is superintendent on the Building 280 project. As a carpenter for the past 19 years, with 3 years at KA, he stands out in his trade with leadership, safety and strong personal characteristics.
I would like to nominate Jerry for this award as he is a mentor with safety on the job. When asked to complete a safety task, he takes it upon himself to follow through and correct the situation immediately. If he observes unsafe acts/conditions of subcontractors, contact is made with the appropriate supervision to correct the situation.
Jerry is the type of guy that not only practices safety on the job, but off as well. Family, work and being injury free are priorities within his life style.”
