The KA Mission Vision Teamwork Award for fourth quarter 2015 goes to the Unit J Team at Fourth Floor ICU Remodel, University of Minnesota Medical Center Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. The team is comprised of: Gary Janson, project superintendent; Mike Becchetti, project manager; Debbie Johnson, project assistant; and Nate Theisen, project accountant. The nomination comes from Camille Helou, Kraus-Anderson VP/Director of Healthcare Group. His nomination reads:
“I wish to nominate the project team of Gary Janson, project superintendent; Mike Becchetti, project manager; Debbie Johnson, project assistant; and Nate Theisen, project accountant, for a Mission Vision Team award for their outstanding performance on the recent Unit J, Fourth Floor ICU Remodel at University of Minnesota Medical Center Fairview Hospital.
This was a challenging project in an occupied healthcare facility on a tight site with many logistical challenges, including a surgery suite below and a BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) unit above. Gary and Mike worked productively through a number of scheduling, space, and worker constraints. They did a great job of coordinating everyone’s efforts and keeping things running smoothly, all the while maintaining rigorous infection controls. They handled at times stressful situations with grace and good humor, maintaining a positive, productive working environment which our subcontractors greatly appreciated. Their dedication and leadership were instrumental in the success of this project.
Thank you, Unit J Team, for supporting KA’s core purpose of building enduring relationships and strong communities.”
