The first quarter 2014 Kraus-Anderson Mission/Vision Team award has been presented to the Third North team of Drew Simon, Chris Dokken, Andrea Carlson, Rob Wurzl and Dan Schneider. The team was nominated by Dave Rollins, Kraus-Anderson vice president and project manager, whose nomination reads:
“THIRD NORTH is an urban apartment building project located in the North Loop District of Minneapolis. The team includes Drew Simon and Chris Dokken project managers; Andrea Carlson, project assistant; Rob Wurzl and Dan Schneider, field superintendents.
“From the beginning of the project, the entire team has been on the leading edge in utilizing many new technology enhancements to demonstrate how to run a project. By using Submittal Exchange, Plan Grid, Gradebeam, Drop Box, Ipads and LED TV’s, they have succeeded in expediting all phases of communication and coordination of the project among all of the stakeholders.
“That being said, with all of the advances in technology in the world of construction, we are still a people business. All of the THIRD NORTH team put our client first and go above and beyond to make sure that all parties are fully informed of the project’s progress at all times, whether it be through technology, face to face or a plain old phone call.
“We applaud the great job they are all doing for Kraus-Anderson, and most importantly for our client.”
