Brookview Elementary School welcomed about 600 students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall of 2017. The new school, which is part of the Stillwater Area School District, was built on 20 acres of former farmland that the district purchased in January 2016. The one-story, 74,000 SF, concrete and brick school has 20 classrooms that open to a common learning space.
The school’s vibrant color palette encourages creativity and spark children’s imaginations. Clerestory windows, a glass curtain wall in the school’s lunchroom, and large windows elsewhere bring natural light into the building and offer inspiring views of the outdoors. A 6,000 SF gymnasium with an open cafeteria overlooks new playground and baseball equipment.
