Ironclad
Mixed-use redevelopment in the historic Mills District of Minneapolis
Ironclad is a new mixed-use development located in the historic Mills District near U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. The project will redevelop a site that is currently a parking lot at the southeast corner of Washington and Chicago Avenues. The high-end development will include a 14-story, 172-unit apartment building, and an eight-story, 148-room Moxy Hotel, Marriott’s new trendy, spirited brand. Ironclad’s plans also include a 3,300 s.f. restaurant, 15,000 s.f. of retail on the first floor of the hotel, and a three-level underground parking garage with room for 390 cars.
The Moxy will feature a rooftop patio, private outdoor terraces, swimming pool, hot tubs, fire pits, cloister garden, and an open-air glass pavilion and bar. Inside amenities include a fitness room and yoga studio, business lounge, and indoor/outdoor terraces on the ninth floor. The upscale residential apartments will feature private outdoor terraces, green space with rolling topography, and a pathway through Central Green with a sculptural stone wall separating the apartments from the hotel. Inside amenities include electric vehicle charging stations, a bike repair facility and rider lounge, sauna, theater and media center, pool table and gaming, and an on-site property manager.
