Camille Helou Earns National Credential; Among the Elite in Healthcare Construction
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (March 2012) – Camille Helou, Kraus-Anderson vice president and director of the company’s healthcare group, has earned the designation of Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) by the American Hospital Association (AHA). The CHC is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the healthcare construction.
According to Elaine Mrzlak, manager of the AHA Certification Center, Helou satisfied eligibility requirements including a rigorous assessment of mastery of a well-defined body of professional knowledge.
Helou started in the construction industry in 1994 and joined Kraus-Anderson (KA) in 2001 as project manager. He has overseen notable healthcare projects, including University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis; Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center in Wyoming, Minn.; and Park Nicollet Melrose Institute, Gillette Lifetime Children’s Specialty Healthcare and HealthPartners Specialty Center in St. Paul, Minn. Helou received a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Construction Management from Washington University, St. Louis, Mo. He is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering.
KA is currently ranked nineteenth among the top Healthcare contractors in the U.S. by Modern Healthcare Magazine. KA has completed over 4.7 million square feet of healthcare facilities in the past five years.
