Kraus-Anderson completes expansion for Central Cass Schools in Casselton, ND
CASSELTON, N.D. (September 2018) –The Bismarck office of Kraus-Anderson (KA) is in the final stages of completing an expansion and renovation for Central Cass Schools in Casselton, N.D.
The $26 million, 18 month-long project features a 32,000-square-foot early education building that connects to the existing elementary school. The addition includes new classrooms for kindergarten, 1st grade and pre-K students as well as support spaces.
At the high school, Kraus-Anderson replaced the existing practice gymnasium with a new 53,000-square-foot multi-purpose gymnasium, theater and wellness center, including support spaces, locker rooms, new administration offices, as well as new band and choir facilities. Selected areas of the existing school building were remodeled including new STEM and Science Classrooms as well as upgraded HVAC and Fire Sprinkler systems throughout. Designed by Zerr Berg Architects, the expansion was configured to allow for future expansion.
Athletic facilities improvements include a new synthetic turf football field as well as new track and field facilities. Site improvements include a parking lot expansion and reconfiguration, site drainage and improved vehicle circulation, as well as upgrading 5th Street in Casselton which runs in front of the school.
A dedication ceremony and open house will be held on October 11th at the school.
