Kraus-Anderson completes Summer Innovation Day remodel at Spring Lake Park Schools
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (June 2017) – Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA), one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest commercial general contractors and construction managers, has completed a creative remodel of three buildings for the Spring Lake Park School District. Schools include Woodcrest Spanish Immersion, Park Terrace Elementary School and Westwood Intermediate School.
Designed by Wold Architects, the overall project creates more innovative learning spaces throughout Spring Lake Park schools by adding open, common and connected spaces with natural lighting and more flexible furniture.
The project is part of the district’s Summer Innovation Day initiative, designed to turn ideas into meaningful innovations to improve learning for students. The new working spaces, which were inspired and created by teachers to meet the needs of their co-teaching models, reinvent their physical environment, allowing students and adults to improve collaboration.
