Kraus-Anderson to build new Cabela’s stores in Woodbury, Minn., and Waco, Texas
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (March 2013) – Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA), one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest commercial general contractors and construction managers, will build new Cabela’s stores in Woodbury, Minn. and Waco, Texas. The stores will be the 19th and 20th Cabela’s locations constructed by KA.
The 85,000-square-foot Woodbury store will be located adjacent to the Tamarack Village Shopping Center. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2014, the building’s exterior will reflect Cabela’s popular store model with log construction, stonework, wood siding and metal roofing. The inside will feature the company’s next-generation layout, designed to surround customers in an outdoor experience, including dynamic wildlife displays and trophy animal mounts displayed on a mountain replica. The store will also include a Boat Shop, Gun Library, aquarium, Bargain Cave and Fudge Shop. KA also built three other Cabela’s Minnesota stores in Owatonna, Rogers and East Grand Forks.
The 42,000-square-foot Waco Outpost store, scheduled to open this fall, is Cabela’s fourth Texas store, joining locations in Buda, Fort Worth and Allen. Cabela’s Outpost stores feature seasonal product assortments and a rugged, outdoor look and theme, including trophy wildlife displays.
KA is currently building a Cabela’s store in Green Bay, Wis. near Lambeau Field. Scheduled to open in the summer of 2013, the store will be Cabela’s third location in Wisconsin, joining stores in Prairie du Chien and Richfield, which were also built by KA. In addition, KA constructed a Cabela’s Outpost in Saginaw, Mich., which opened in February, as well as a store in Grandville, Mich., scheduled to open in March 2013. KA also built Cabela’s Dundee, Mich., store which opened in 2000.
