Kraus-Anderson’s Chris Patraw elected President of Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association
HORTONVILLE, Wis. (May 2016) – Chris Patraw, project manager with Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA) has been elected president of the Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association (WHEA), Chapter VI. He holds the designation of Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) by the American Hospital Association (AHA). The CHC is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the healthcare construction. Patraw also holds a Health Care Constructor certificate from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering.
Patraw’s healthcare construction covers a diverse range of complex projects, having contributed to the success of preconstruction and construction services for multi-year expansion projects at four major regional medical centers in the past 15 years, including the 418,000-square-foot, critical care hospital addition at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis.; University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.; Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa; and St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Neb.
Patraw also is experienced in the coordination and interface with hospital staff for major multi-year phased expansion and renovation projects. In addition, his knowledge includes the management of infection prevention issues in healthcare settings.
Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association (WHEA) provides professional development, quality education and advocacy within Wisconsin’s healthcare community. WHEA also is an essential partner in the codes and standards development and compliance process.
