Kraus-Anderson’s Rich Jacobson named co-chair of AGC’s legislative committee
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (January 2015) – Rich Jacobson, senior vice president at Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA), has been elected co-chair of the legislative committee at Associated General Contractors of Minnesota. AGC of Minnesota works to represent contractor interests at the State Capitol and with state and federal agencies.
Jacobson is recognized as a skilled consensus builder, guiding forward momentum among school boards and diverse stakeholders, and working seamlessly with all levels of government. He joined KA in 1992 as project manager and has held various management positions. Jacobson has been responsible for hundreds of major national construction projects, including those in education, retail, healthcare, hospitality, recreation, industrial and residential developments.
Jacobson has served on the Woodbury Public Safety board, Minnesota Construction Association board and Stout Industry advisory board. He is also a member of the National Builders Alliance and Allied Executives, and past member of the International Council of Educational Facility Planners, International Council of Shopping Centers and Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI), a nationally active organization of educational professionals. He received his B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie, Wis.
