New Windom, Minn. hospital to break ground July 21
WINDOM, Minn. (July 2014) – Groundbreaking ceremonies will take place at 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 21 for the renovation of the Windom Area Hospital, located at 2150 Hospital Drive in Windom, Minn. Kraus-Anderson Construction Company is the construction manager.
The $10 million, 23,500-square-foot project will add a new state-of-the-art surgical department with two operating rooms, and a new outreach clinic and main entrance to the facility. In addition, the project will include remodeling to address changing patient flows and staff efficiency, along with new parking and drive areas and relocating the existing Heli-pad.
Designed by Pope Architects, Windom Area Hospital is managed by Sanford Health. Construction is expected to be completed in August 2015.
