Regions Hospital Family Birth Center and Omni Viking Lakes Hotel earn Awards of Excellence

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (October 2021) – Two 2020 Kraus-Anderson projects — Regions Hospital Family Birth Center and Omni Viking Lakes Hotel – have received Awards of Excellence from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).  The awards, which recognize projects that have demonstrated exemplary efforts, are based on a system of nominations and peer selection.

Regions Hospital Family Birth Center, St. Paul

The three-story, 160,000-square-foot birth center has increased space and expanded services to improve health outcomes for moms and babies. It was designed for patients to have a birth experience that reflects their culture and values. Regions opened the birth center in July 2020, making a major investment as part of HealthPartners’ integrated system of care.

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel, Eagan

Owned by MV Ventures  and designed by ESG Architects, the $98 million, 381,163-square-foot hotel is the mainstay of the Viking Lakes mixed-use development project that includes the Twin Cities Orthopedic Performance Center for the Minnesota Vikings, which KA completed in 2018.  The hotel opened on October 1, 2020.
