Building Buildings and Building People
Kraus-Anderson upholds a proud tradition of “building buildings and building people.” We believe in giving back to the communities that have given so much to us, and we participate wholeheartedly in programs and activities that provide for those in need.
Giving back to our communities
Our annual corporate giving activities include Hearts & Hammers, Bike Duluth Festival (formerly run by KA), the Kraus-Anderson Fall Giving campaign, and our Holiday Charitable Giving program.
Our employee-driven teambuilding and community service program KA Has Heart provides opportunities for KAers to provide volunteer assistance to selected nonprofits during their working hours. Each year KA Has Heart volunteers perform hundreds of hours of service to local nonprofits nominated and selected by our employees. In addition, KA provides dollar and in-kind support to numerous other causes and organizations throughout the year, with a particular focus on organizations serving healthcare and education.
Commitment to the Minnesota Keystone Program
Kraus-Anderson has formalized its longstanding commitment to community through membership in the Minnesota Keystone Program. This program distinguishes companies contributing a minimum 2 percent of pretax earnings to address community needs through cash and in-kind contributions. Kraus-Anderson has given in excess of 5 percent for over five years.
