Kraus-Anderson promotes Tony Peleska to CIO

Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has promoted Tony Peleska to chief information officer. He previously served as vice president of information technology. Peleska will oversee the construction company’s IT strategic planning and development, solution implementation, and project management and will also work closely with the entire family of Kraus-Anderson companies. He is based in KA’s Minneapolis office.
Prior to joining KA in 2020, Peleska was the CIO for the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency in St. Paul, where he improved and increased the effectiveness of the IT organization and aligned the agency’s strategic goals with its business initiatives.
As leader of KA’s enterprise-wide IT efforts, Peleska has delivered sweeping improvements to the company’s technologies and bottom line. He has championed the integration of IT throughout KA’s business lines and led the delivery of cutting-edge, customer-faced service technologies, including augmented reality and integrated video technologies.

Peleska is also a dedicated community leader, applying his talents well beyond KA. He is a member of The Company of Fellows and serves as board chair for the Association of Intelligent Information Management (AIIM). He is also the board chair of Evanta CIO Governing Body and Karth Lake Improvement District of the City of Arden Hills. He is a board member of the Autodesk CXO and the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Software Engineering and is on the steering committee of the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce. Peleska previously was a volunteer president of Consulting for Causes, chair of Twin Cities-based New Vision Foundation, as well as a member of the National Council of State Housing Agencies CIO Council.
Peleska earned a B.A. from Saint John’s University, Collegeville, Minn. and an Executive MBA from the University of Buffalo, New York.
Kraus-Anderson has also hired the following managers: project managers Erik Palmer and Chad Savoy, superintendent Aaron Hughes, senior recruiter Kaaren Maxton, senior project coordinator Minnie Sindt, financial analyst Tim Belov, and technical services product manager Max Stockbridge.
