Kraus-Anderson completes construction on Grantsburg, Wis. schools

Kraus-Anderson has completed renovations and additions for the Grantsburg School District in Grantsburg, Wis. DSGW Architects designed the projects.
Grantsburg Elementary
The 26,000-square-foot addition replaced the closed Nelson Elementary School by adding 13 new classrooms and a gym. The $14.79 million project also includes a 34,000-square-foot renovation for Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms, art/music classrooms, restrooms, a kitchen, a cafeteria, and a safe and improved bus drop-off area.
Grantsburg High School
The 10,000-square-foot addition features a new safe and secure entrance and an iForward office. The $9.86 million project also includes a 10,000-square-foot renovation for the cafeteria/commons area, public restrooms, concessions, and a new team/flex classroom. It also improves the site’s traffic flow, parking, and water drainage.
Grantsburg Middle School
The project will revamp the parent drop-off area and parking to improve traffic flow.
Construction began in the spring of 2023.
