Bob Janssen wins the KA Core Values Award for April 2021
Bob Janssen is the KA Core Value Award winner for April 2021. He is a Project Manager out of the Twin Cities office and was nominated by Laurie Trousil, Director of Inclusion and Diversity for Kraus-Anderson Companies. Laurie’s nomination reads:
Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. has been involved with multiple collaborative industry groups that are working to rebuild communities in post-George Floyd rioting and looting, and long-term, to increase equity through the support of Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs).
Bob is working on the project to rebuild the Cub Foods, Lake Street location. Through his hard work, he was able to engage with the client and in turn, negotiate terms with the current drywall subcontractor in order to carve out an opportunity for an MBE tier 2 subcontractor on the project that might not have otherwise happened. Bob was recognized as a champion at an industry peer group meeting by the Minority business owner, and KA was positioned as a company that “walks the talk” around inclusion, diversity and equity.
