Kraus-Anderson completes renovations at Killdeer Elementary in Killdeer, N.D.

Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed renovations at Killdeer Elementary School in Killdeer, N.D.

Designed by ICON Architectural Group, the $3.1 million project features a new exterior entry canopy with ADA ramp, stairs and sidewalks to the main entry.  Renovations were made to the classrooms, locker rooms, kitchen, and to all bathrooms which also received ADA upgrades.

Construction began in May of 2025.

KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 23rd in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction Magazine.  Over the past five years, the company has completed over $2.4 billion in PreK-12 projects across the Midwest, including renovations, additions, new facilities and deferred maintenance.  KA’s comprehensive school construction services include facility assessments and budget approaches, leading to informed and successful referendum initiatives.  In addition, KA currently ranks among the Top 30 contractors in the Midwest according to Engineering News Record.
