Kraus-Anderson completes new athletic facilities at Amery High School

Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed new athletic facilities at Amery High School in Amery, Wis.  Designed by LHB Architects, the athletic facilities were the last of several district projects that were part of a $43.5 million referendum that also included new classrooms at Amery Lien Elementary and additional improvements at Amery High School.

Athletic Facilities – Amery High School – 555 Minneapolis Ave. S.

Designed by LHB Architects, the new athletic facilities feature a new turf football and soccer field, turf varsity baseball field, natural baseball field, two natural softball fields, an asphalt track with athletic surfacing and new athletic equipment.  The $4.9 million project also included concrete and pavement improvements.  Construction began in May of 2024.

Amery High School – 555 Minneapolis Ave. S.

Completed in August of 2024, the $30 million,150,000-square-foot project renovated the school’s science, media center, greenhouse and agriculture labs, woods and metal shops, commons area, cafeteria and locker rooms, and included MEP upgrades throughout the school.

Amery Lien Elementary – 469 Minneapolis Ave. S.

Completed in August of 2024, the $9 million, 75,000-square-foot project updated the Early Learning Center, administration areas, art and music spaces and playground.  The project also included a 10,000-square-foot addition for eight Kindergarten and Pre-K classrooms, and maintenance upgrades throughout the school.

KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 23rd in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction Magazine.  Over the past five years, the company has completed over $2.4 billion in PreK-12 projects across the Midwest, including renovations, additions, new facilities and deferred maintenance.  KA’s comprehensive school construction services include facility assessments and budget approaches, leading to informed and successful referendum initiatives.  In addition, KA currently ranks among the Top 30 contractors in the Midwest according to Engineering News Record.
