Kraus-Anderson completes $22.5 million improvements at Irondale High School in New Brighton, Minn.

Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed a $22.57 million maintenance improvement project at Irondale High School located at 2425 Long Lake Road in New Brighton, Minn.
Designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, the 401,202-square-foot project features the addition of six Darcy wells to convert the building from steam and chiller to geothermal. Mechanical work also includes two new hydronic heat pumps, four domestic heat pumps and eight air handlers, as well as new piping for hydronic and domestic water.
Additional improvements include new LED lighting and corridor ceilings throughout the building. Renovations were also made to the bathrooms, art room, science room and multi-purpose rooms.
Construction began in April of 2024.
