Kraus-Anderson completes $21 million addition and renovation at Mankato Dakota Meadows Middle School

Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed a $21.17 million, 53,000-square-foot addition and renovation at Mankato Dakota Meadows Middle School located at 1900 Howard Drive in North Mankato, Minn.

Designed by LSE Architects, the project features a new 43,000-square-foot gym, pool and locker rooms. Renovations were also made to the classrooms, Special Education areas and offices. Construction began in May of 2024.

KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 23rd in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction Magazine.  Over the past five years, the company has completed over $2.4 billion in PreK-12 projects across the Midwest, including renovations, additions, new facilities and deferred maintenance.  KA’s comprehensive school construction services include facility assessments and budget approaches, leading to informed and successful referendum initiatives.  In addition, KA currently ranks among the Top 30 contractors in the Midwest according to Engineering News Record.
