Tierra Encantada, the leader in Spanish immersion early education, will open a new location at 4210 W Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington, Minn. in the spring of 2026. The center marks Tierra Encantada’s ninth location in the Twin Cities metro area.   The public is welcome to attend a grand opening celebration from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21.

The property is owned by Kraus-Anderson Realty, which has leased the entire building of recently converted space to Tierra Encantada.   KA Realty had previously occupied the building with its own offices before moving into Kraus-Anderson Companies’ new downtown headquarters in 2017.

Minneapolis-based Tierra Encantada is the fastest growing Spanish immersion childcare brand in the United States.  It is listed on The Business Journal’s Fast 50 List as the Twin Cities’ 33rd fast-growing business.

Bloomington families will soon have access to the high-quality childcare Minnesota families have come to trust across Tierra Encantada locations. The new center will serve children ages 6 weeks through 6 years, offering immersive, play-based learning taught entirely in Spanish.

Students have the opportunity to learn a second language naturally, just as they learn their first language at home: through meaningful conversation and contextual learning.  Research shows that learning a second language during the formative years enhances cognitive development, strengthens social skills, and builds cultural awareness that lasts a lifetime.

Every aspect of Tierra Encantada’s program is thoughtfully designed to support the holistic development of each child — from their cognitive growth to their nutritional needs.  Students will benefit from Tierra’s chef-prepared culinary program, featuring globally inspired meals such as Ghanaian jollof rice with black beans and chicken — introducing young taste buds to new flavors while encouraging healthy eating habits.

The Bloomington location is the first of three upcoming Tierra Encantada centers planned for the Twin Cities metro area, with additional schools expected to open in Oakdale and the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul.  These new centers will join existing area locations across Minneapolis, Eagan and St. Louis Park, expanding access to high-quality childcare for local families.
