City of Edina - Fire Station 2

The new 35,464 SF, 2-story Edina Fire Station 2 in Edina, MN, opened in fall 2025, replacing the previous station to better serve the city’s growing population. The facility features four apparatus bays, offices for the fire and Public Health departments, living quarters for firefighters, a fitness room, a training tower, and multiple community spaces. Sustainability is a key focus, with permeable pavers, solar panels, geothermal systems, and EV charging stations incorporated into the design. Partially funded by the State of Minnesota and the Inflation Reduction Act, the project is being built to B3 and SB 2030 energy standards. - 35,464 SF, 2-story fire station - Four apparatus bays - Offices for fire and public health - Living area for firefighters - Fitness room, training tower and multiple community spaces - Sustainability: permeable pavers, solar panels, geothermal and EV charging stations
