Kraus-Anderson completes new $68.9 million PK-12 school for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Schools

Kraus-Anderson has completed a new $68.9 million PK-12 school building for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Schools located at 323 East 11th St. in Gibbon, Minn.
Designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, the project encompasses a two-story, 158,000-square-foot PK-12 school and surrounding athletic field development. The new campus consolidates all grade levels into a single, secure environment supporting a wide range of academic and extracurricular needs.
The building’s design incorporates multiple flexible learning spaces, specialized Career and Technical Education and science classrooms, and modern amenities to foster collaborative and innovative learning. Key features of the facility also include a secure entry and separate bus drop-offs that provide distinct separation of age groups to enhance student safety. A surrounding athletic field development further supports student wellness and community engagement.
Construction began in January of 2024.
