Lisa David Wins November 2021 Core Values Award

Lisa David is the KA Core Value Award winner for November 2021. She is a Senior Estimator out of the Twin Cities office and was nominated by Dave Lenss. The nomination reads:

“I am nominating Lisa David because she is such a great example of someone that lives Kraus-Anderson’s Core Purpose and Core Values every day. She approaches every project assigned to her by being respectful, honest and fair (Integrity). She takes ownership of her projects and complete tasks on time (Commitment). She is collaborative and seeks success for all stake holders (Teamwork). And most importantly she is positive and appreciates everyone’s contributions (Value People). Beyond these things she is detailed oriented and knows her projects well and is able to present her estimates to our internal team members and clients with confidence. On Nobel Hall there were countless meetings with the design team to align the owners desires, the design teams’ vision and the budget. The one constant throughout the process was Lisa’s knowledge of the estimate as it related to the most current design. After a recent project interview John Huenink and Gary Benson both paid her compliments for a job well done. Gary’s comment was “Your poised and clear presentation showed you know your area of cost estimating. They came away with the confidence that their top priority -cost- will be well looked after.”

Beyond her estimating successes she has been involved and active with KA’s Courageous Conversations during some very difficult times in our community. She has been an ACE mentor for the past 3 years, she was a mentor to Cristo Rey students, she mentors our estimating interns and she is a Board Member of the Association of Women Contractors (AWC). This is a great example of a KAer working on Building Enduring Relationships and strong Communities.”
