Kraus-Anderson to build a mobile MRI pad at Ely Bloomenson Community Hospital
July 16, 2019
ELY, Minn. (July 2019) – The Bemidji office of Kraus-Anderson has begun construction of a new, mobile MRI pad at Ely Bloomenson Community Hospital (EBCH) located at 328 Conan St. in Ely, Minn.
The new 1,624-square-foot, concrete pad’s location will provide improved access to the hospital and will allow EBCH to have a permanent MRI trailer on the campus.
Previously, a mobile MRI unit would occasionally park in an area adjacent to the hospital; and MRIs were only scheduled on Fridays. With the new pad, the hospital will be able to schedule MRIs Monday through Friday, helping EBCH increase its MRI services to the region more frequently.
Construction of the new MRI pad will be completed on July 21, 2019.
Kraus-Anderson has maintained a long-term relationship with Ely Bloomenson Community Hospital. Beginning in 2002, KA completed a 35,835-square-foot hospital and nursing home renovation that included a new emergency room, radiology departments and dining room, as well as all the common areas in the nursing home. In 2009, KA completed a 44,861-square-foot addition that included physical and occupational therapy, administration offices and an ambulance garage. In addition, KA has recently completed a new CT Scan and pharmacy remodel for the facility.
