Scott L. Hayes Wins December 2021 Core Values Award

Scott L. Hayes is the KA Core Value Award winner for December 2021. He is a Carpenter Foreman out of the Bemidji office and was nominated by Pat Wavrin, Tom Tessier, and Pat Weerts. The nomination reads:

“When Scott Hayes was an 18 year old apprentice, just starting out with Kraus-Anderson, he asked if it was OK to take the prints home one night, to study them. He returned the next day, plans in hand, having memorized all the layout dimensions. Scott Hayes’ commitment to his teams, clients, and the public is not showy, it is inherent to him and apparent in everything he does.

Many people request to have him working on their projects because he is such a powerful example of commitment. Scott takes ownership of any job that is asked of him, no matter what it is; from the smallest on-site tasks to large scale job assignments, anything he is responsible for will be done with attentive dedication.”Scott L Hayes with Core Values Award

They worked late into the evening and started early in the morning to make sure that the project was finished before our event. I really appreciate their level of dedication to this job and the final product looks amazing. – Owner Rep”[/perfectpullquote]

Pat Wavrin and Tom Tessier commented that “going the extra mile” is a frequently used term, but with Scott, it explains him, perfectly. Whether his job is 100 miles away, working odd hours, or an uncomplicated door handle installation, he is there. With his teams, everyday, he puts together a list of items that need to be accomplished and he does not leave the site until they are complete. When issues come up on Scott’s jobs, he is always transparent with the entirety of his teams. He is always prepared with a solution to the issue at hand and works with his teams to implement them efficiently. Scott’s consistent commitment has been commented on, and emulated, by his fellow employees, field and office, owners and clients.
