April 26, 2024

Kraus-Anderson (KA) has begun a $21.5 million renovation at Irondale High School located at 2425 Long Lake Road in New Brighton, Minn.

Designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, the project features the conversion of the building’s existing steam system to hot water adding Darcy geothermal wells.  The new Darcy geothermal technology system works with groundwater, using its superior thermal properties to heat and cool industrial and commercial buildings with improved efficiency.

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2025.

KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 20th in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction magazine.  Over the past five years, KA has completed over $1 billion in K-12 projects. KA’s comprehensive school construction services include facility analysis and budget approaches, leading to informed and successful referendum initiatives.
