Kraus-Anderson begins City of Woodbury’s $59.3 million public safety building

Kraus-Anderson has begun a new $59.3 million public safety building for the City of Woodbury located at 2100 Radio Drive in Woodbury, Minn. The 135,000-square-foot project includes renovations to the fire and police departments.

Construction will feature high-speed bi-fold fire bay doors, ‘hot zone’ decontamination areas to protect firefighters from carcinogens, and expanded 24-hour living quarters to accommodate a growing full-time staff. The fire station wing will connect to the renovated public safety building.

The project will also create dedicated spaces for the K9 and drone programs, private interview rooms for mental health professionals and social workers, and an expanded, secure evidence processing.

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2028.
