Kraus-Anderson completes new $46.6 million Redwood Valley Elementary School in Redwood Falls, Minn.

Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed a new $46.6 million, 85,639-square-foot Redwood Valley Elementary School located at 201 McPhail Drive in Redwood Falls, Minn.

Designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, the new two-story, Pre-K – 4th grade elementary school features new classrooms, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, media center, flex spaces, gym, modern cafeteria, storm shelter and secured entries.   Grades K-4 have five section pods, each equipped with a resource area.

The school’s three outdoor play spaces include a new accessible playground for students of all abilities and an early childhood play area, as well as a new bus loop, parent drop-off area, parking lots and sidewalks.

Construction began in May of 2024.

KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 23rd in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction Magazine.  Over the past five years, the company has completed over $2.4 billion in PreK-12 projects across the Midwest, including renovations, additions, new facilities and deferred maintenance.  KA’s comprehensive school construction services include facility assessments and budget approaches, leading to informed and successful referendum initiatives.  In addition, KA currently ranks among the Top 30 contractors in the Midwest according to Engineering News Record.
