A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house will take place at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27. The public is invited to attend.
Designed by ISG, the 31,367-square-foot renovation features new classroom spaces and a 1,500-square-foot CTE addition, including auto, construction, wood and ag shops, as well as a metals and small engine shop.
“Our new CTE addition will help prepare students with practical skills and real-world experiences,” says District Superintendent Jeff Sampson. “CTE encourages diverse career paths that also will provide local jobs and enhance our area businesses.”
In addition to the HVAC and plumbing upgrades, exterior repairs and site drainage improvements were made at the high school and middle school. Site drainage upgrades and a walk-in cooler and freezer system were added at the elementary school. Safety and security improvements were made at all the schools.
In addition, repairs included a new roof at the Cannon Falls Community Center.
