Kraus-Anderson completes Stewartville Intermediate School

Ribbon cutting ceremony set for 9am, October 1

STEWARTVILLE, Minn. (September 2016) – Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KA), one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest commercial general contractors and construction managers, has completed the $23.5 million Stewartville Intermediate School located at 1021 10th Street NW.  A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., October 1, 2016 at the school.

Designed by Rego + Youngquist Architects, the technology-rich school serving grades 3-5, includes vibrant classroom wings and flexible open learning center spaces equipped to support innovative teaching techniques and modern learning equipment.  The two-story, 96,219-square-foot also features a new gymnasium with three full–sized basketball courts, assembly café/stage, music and art classrooms, offices, and lobby/atrium area.

KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 6th in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction magazine.  The company also remains the top construction manager of education facilities in the region, having completed K-12 projects totaling over $1 billion in the past five years.  In addition, KA practices Open Book Transparency, maximizing opportunities for local subcontractor participation.
