Kraus-Anderson to renovate pharmacy and chemotherapy unit at Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. (April 2018) – The Bemidji office of Kraus-Anderson (KA), one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest commercial general contractors and construction managers, has begun construction on the renovation of the pharmacy and chemotherapy unit at Rainy Lake Medical Center, located at 1400 Highway 71 in International Falls.
Designed by DSGW, the 3,216 square-foot project will relocate the remodeled pharmacy and chemotherapy unit to the east wing of the hospital. The new area will feature the addition of a new canopy for chemotherapy patients, four private infusion rooms, nurse station and a common space.
Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2018.
Kraus-Anderson has a long history of performing construction projects for Rainy Lake Medical Center, including a 19,433-square-foot remodel and addition in 2016 that included the emergency department; 3,500-square-foot physical therapy relocation and infrastructure upgrade in 2015; and numerous miscellaneous projects and mechanical upgrades since 2010.
