A new aquatics area is the primary focus of the upgrades and improvements to Soldiers Field Park, with a lazy river, 3 water slides, and a 50-meter lap pool are among the upgrades. Renovations will include an updated bathhouse, a shallow pool, and a splash pad. A new inclusive playground and shelter at Roy Sutherland Park (east side), two new basketball courts, Southwest Trail Connection (multi-use trail), renovations to the Soldier's Field Golf Course.
