The highly anticipated, $31.2 million expansion at Winona State University mixes old learning environments with real-world educational settings for future teachers. Education Village features comprehensive renovations to Helble Hall (formerly Wabasha Hall), Wabasha Recreation Center and Cathedral Elementary School to create an innovative national model to prepare, inspire and recruit the best and brightest students to be teachers. Designed by the Minneapolis office of Leo A Daly architects, the project also features new flexible learning spaces, including those for Early Childhood Education training and child care programs and WSUís Childrenís Center.
