Roseville Area Schools completes $37 million Aŋpétu Téča Education Center in Roseville, Minn.

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (September 2021) – Roseville Area Schools has completed construction on the new $37 million Aŋpétu Téča Education Center located at 1910 County Road B West in Roseville, Minn.   In Dakota, aŋpétu téča (pronounced aw-BET-doo THE-cha) means “a new day.”  The name honors living on Dakota land.

Designed by Lawal Scott Erickson Architects, the 108,000-square-foot education center features a new pool, gymnasium and basketball court, multiple classrooms, two dining rooms and kitchen, locker rooms and offices. The exterior includes a new playground, parking lots and a bus drop-off located at the front of the building.

Kraus-Anderson was the construction manager for Aŋpétu Téča Education Center, which is one of dozens of major K-12 construction projects KA will work on this year during its “Summer Sprint,” a critical, concentrated time during the summer months when school is not in session and when crews can perform work that ranges from new school construction to upgrades to deferred maintenance projects.

KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 12th in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction magazine.  Over the past five years, KA has completed over $1 billion in K-12 projects.   KA’s comprehensive school construction services include facility analysis and budget approaches, leading to informed and successful referendum initiatives.
