Banding Together to Help Peregrines in LaCrosse, WI |Kraus-Anderson
Raptor Resource Center crew recently banded three new residents in the lobby of U.S. Bank Place in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. “Phoenix, Shadow and Pikachu” are the 43rd, 44th & 45th peregrine falcons that have hatched since the nesting box was installed atop the building in 2006, said Kraus-Anderson Realty Company Property Manager Mark Hyde.
The event was attended by roughly 30 people, including tenants, children & media. Children in the audience picked the names for this year’s brood.
While they’re popular tenants, we expect their stay to be temporary. They should be flying in about 3 weeks, said Hyde.
