Abigail Heimel Wins Mission Vision Award

Abigail Heimel received the Kraus-Anderson Construction Company Mission/Vision Award for January 2016.

Heimel was an assistant project manager in the Minneapolis office. She was nominated by Andrea Blair, a Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design and Construction specialist in the Minneapolis office.

Blair’s nomination recognized Heimel’s leadership in advancing Bluebeam training and technology adoption across the company.

“Abigail Heimel, Minneapolis assistant project manager, has been one of the driving forces of Bluebeam within Kraus-Anderson,” Blair said. “Working side by side with her, I have had the opportunity to experience her enthusiasm and commitment to implementing innovation and technology, as well as her drive to share her knowledge.”

Heimel maintained her assistant project manager responsibilities on the HealthPartners Neuroscience Center project while helping provide Bluebeam training across the company.

“She has been able to maintain her duties as an assistant project manager on the HealthPartners Neuroscience Building while continuing to offer training to the entire company,” Blair said. “It has been a pleasure to work together developing training methods and processes.”

Bluebeam is used across the construction industry for digital document review, markups and project collaboration. The software provider offers additional information about construction document management and collaboration.

Blair said Heimel’s efforts helped coworkers use practical technology tools efficiently and effectively.

“She is dedicated to providing her coworkers with the tools to do their jobs efficiently and effectively,” Blair said. “Abigail is a great representation of Kraus-Anderson and her commitment to our team.”
