Brad LaVan Wins the November 2024 Core Values Award

Brad LaVan, a project superintendent from the Rochester office, won the November 2024 Core Values Award. Kraus-Anderson project manager Charley Sweeney submitted the nomination. It reads:

“I nominate Brad for his tireless efforts working on the Soldier’s Field Aquatic Center project. It is a sprawling site with complex components and received a lot of public attention throughout the project. This project had a very tight schedule that Brad expertly managed through an unusually warm winter that allowed crews on site to make great progress to a very wet spring that wreaked havoc on exposed concrete deck pours and final site work. Even when he felt like he was pushing on the trades too much and being the “bad guy,” I had multiple people tell me that they would love to work on one of Brad’s sites again because of the way he understands the project and is able to communicate so well with them. Brad always makes sure that everyone on site feels welcome and that their concerns are heard. He does a great job at communicating needs and expectations, all while keeping track of complex schedule dates, deliveries, and ever-changing site conditions. Brad’s hard work and dedication played a big role in Kraus-Anderson’s being awarded the Silver Lake Aquatic Center with the same client. Construction will start this fall and be completed in early summer 2026.”
