Committed to inclusion and diversity

We believe diversity strengthens our organization and allows us to serve clients at the highest possible level. We strive to make Kraus-Anderson a place where every person – employee, client, partner, subcontractor, vendor – is valued for the unique skills, abilities and perspectives that they possess.

Partnering with Diverse and Minority Owned Businesses

Positive Change Happens When We Work Together

It’s part of our philosophy to build relationships and advance equity in the diverse communities where we live and work. We partner with qualified small businesses, women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned and other certified diverse businesses to deliver results that are on time and on budget, with safety always top of mind.

Through the Construction Partnering Program (CPP) KA has had multiple formal mentoring relationships for over a decade with diverse-owned businesses as we seek to build their capabilities and grow their businesses.

“Kraus-Anderson has amazing systems and processes that have helped them maintain and grow into an incredible legacy with longstanding relationships. To formally enter into a partnership where I can learn from that kind of legacy, and to have Kraus-Anderson open their doors and say, how can we teach you in a way that benefits you... It's pretty humbling as a small business."

Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders

We're Passionate About Our Industry and Committed to Passing it on

Through our partnerships with programs such as ACE Mentor, Construction Career Pathways, Girl Scouts River Valleys ‘Power Girls’, 218 Trades and Construct Tomorrow, KA is able to provide insights and opportunities to students interested in construction professions and trades. In addition, our college internship program provides important hands-on, skills-based learning opportunities for university-level students. These partnerships and programs reflect our ongoing dedication to providing early, real-world experience and insight to students from all backgrounds.

What it Means to Us

Every day, we strive to make the KA workplace a welcoming, safe and rewarding environment for all. We want our teams to reflect the people in the communities where we live, work and build. Aligned with our core values as a company, equity – or in other words, fairness – is the way we run our business, how we treat our employees and how we build and maintain trusting relationships with clients, subcontractors, tenants and the community.

Diversity is critical as we seek out talent to help grow and sustain our business, and KA believes diversity is imperative for problem-solving. Inclusion means having a culture where people feel they belong – directly impacting employee engagement, productivity and retention, which ties to KA’s business bottom line.
